The great shrinking church in America
The greatest hindrance to revival is within your own heart. It’s time to break up your fallow ground and seek the Lord while He still may be found.

Of all the struggles facing Christians, anger is at the top of the list. It destroys families, tarnishes character, and leads to destructive behavior.
Take time now to examine your life and repent of any destructive attitudes that have crept into your mind and heart. Repentance always brings hope. What sin is so great it can’t be forgiven? What stronghold is so deep it can’t be destroyed? What failure is so final it can’t be overcome? He is faithful to refill, restore, and renew if we refocus on Him.
If you’re knocked down, get back up and fight again. It’s not the fall that leads to defeat, it’s staying down that does. Finish strong — courage is a hill to die on.
Who thinks for you? God’s Word or social media? God’s Word or liberal authors? The Holy Spirit or the Hollywood Spirit? Are you so “woke” that you’re asleep to the things of God? Cowardliness remains silent and leaves the battle for our children. That’s a price I’m not willing to pay. Are you?
The old saints used to pray and fast until God heard their cry. They understood that desperate times call for desperate measures. Today, we get impatient if church services go long and we’re late for lunch. Costco carts are full, but prayer closets are empty.
Do you need a breakthrough, direction, or peace? Is all hell breaking loose in your life? Are there great obstacles ahead? Then it’s time to prepare for battle through prayer and fasting.
Many Christians are busier than ever, but have little time for God. Full stomachs, but empty hearts
Could a lack of prayer and fasting be one of the hindrances to a spiritual awakening? Jesus said that when He is taken away, His disciples would fast. Notice He said, “when you fast,” not “if you fast” (Matthew 9:15; see also 6:16).
Could it be that the very thing we need (and that Hillsong, Bethel, and Elevation need) is the very thing we are running from, which is a revival and a powerful move of God’s Spirit via brokenness, humility, and repentance?
